Q: Are there ticket discounts for family and friends I want to invite?#
A: Adult tickets are £10 cash at the door, and accompanied children (up to 17 years old) enter for free.
Q: When should I, as a competitor, arrive at the venue?#
A: Complete your weigh-in at least 30 minutes before your bracket’s scheduled start time. The start time is regularly updated on Smoothcomp. Typically, arrive a couple of hours earlier for weigh-in, dressing, warming up, and logistics.
Q: Do I need to bring an ID for the weigh-in?#
A: No formal ID is required for the weigh-in, as per our current policy.
Q: How do I find my Mat?#
A: Each Mat is labeled with a number sign displayed at the adjacent score table. Usually, all bouts in a bracket happen on the same Mat.
Q: When should my coaches arrive?#
A: Coaches can arrive anytime. Free entry is offered for up to two coaches per Academy. Please, provide their names for admission at info@ukgrapplers.com. At Mat side, a chair will be available for each competitor’s coach.
Q: What should I do when I arrive at the venue as a competitor?#
A: Inform the door staff that you’re a competitor to skip the regular queue. Complete your weigh-in and receive a check-in bracelet. Locate your designated mat, utilize the warm-up area for preparation, and mentally focus on your upcoming fight. Consider having a light snack, such as a slice of bread with honey, to manage adrenaline. Save a larger meal for after the competition!
